The Home-Based Instruction component to Even Start is designed to take skills learned in the classroom into the participating family’s home.

Each month the Parenting Instructor will spend at least one hour visiting with the participating Parent and his/her children.

During this visit techniques for promoting learning in the home will be discussed and practiced.

For those parents who have school-aged children, aid in tutoring their children in difficult school subjects can be requested of the Instructor.
