Even Start is a Family Literacy program designed to help families learn together. Its family-centered education involves parents and children in a cooperative effort.

Through Even Start, parents become full partners in the education of their children and helps children in reaching their full potential as learners.

To join Even Start a family must:

Have at least one child under 8.

Have one parent/guardian eligible to participate in ABLE.

There are five components to the Even Start Program:

ABLE

Early Childhood Education

Home-Based Instruction

Parenting Classes

Parent/Child Interactive Literacy Activities
